General Surgery

Does your pet’s upcoming surgery having you feeling nervous?

Bringing a family member in for surgery is never easy. At Small Animal Hospital, we know exactly what you’re going through because we’re pet owners too. Rest assured that we’ll do everything in our power to ensure that your loved one’s procedure is as stress-free as possible.

Pre-Surgical Care

Our comprehensive surgical care begins with preoperative screening, which helps us to reduce the risk of complications for your pet. We’ll also tailor a safe, effective plan to keep your pet comfortable and pain-free – before, during and following surgery.

Whether basic or advanced, your pet’s procedure will be our highest priority. We have a Board Certified surgeon on staff to perform surgical procedures that are normally referred to specialty hospitals. From the moment you arrive, we’ll be there to set your mind at ease and keep your pet calm and relaxed.

Once safely sedated, our team will carry out the procedure as efficiently as possible. As the doctor works, our dedicated support staff will be present at all times, assisting with surgery and closely monitoring your pet’s wellbeing.

After Care

When surgery is complete, your pet will be gently moved to our recovery area, where our staff will offer comfort and reassurance.

Upon arrival for pickup, we’ll explain our aftercare instructions, including a plan for pain management.

Surgery doesn’t have to be a source of anxiety, especially if you’ve got the compassionate, experienced team at Small Animal Hospital in your corner. Get in touch today and let’s discuss how we can help with all of your companion’s surgical care needs.
